Merry Christmas, um, I Got A Dollar

Hi, um, it's me, Klu. Merry Christmas! (I could write 'Happy Christmas,' too, cuz that's what we used to say when I was a Scottish bear. But now I'm mostly a 'Merican bear, and we say 'Merry Christmas.')

Two 'citin'-est ever things already happened today. The first 'citin'-est thing ever is that it's doin' lots of snowin' here. When we woke up, we looked out the window, and it's snowin' and snowin'. That means we're havin' a white Christmas. That makes me real happy. I like snow a lot.

The other 'citin'-est thing ever is that Uncle Kerms gave me a dollar for Christmas! I never had my own dollar! My Big Mummy sometimes gives me some pennies or dimes to play with, but I never had my own dollar. First I was gonna use it to buy some gummy worms, but then I did some consultin' with Uncle Kerms, and he said if I went to the grocery store at the right time, I could get three Snickers bars for a dollar. If I got three Snickers bars, I could give each of the kids half a Snickers bar, cuz there's six of us: me, Wilbs, Dars, Speedy, Bruno, and Janna Ganna. But I don't think Speedy will like a Snickers bar very much, cuz he's a turtle and turtles mostly eat stuff like spinach and fish. So maybe he could give me his half.

Here's a picture of me sitting in the snow with my dollar. We're gonna do some playin' in the snow as soon as we're done with breakfast.

Love,
Klu the rich bear (huh huh, that made me laugh)

PS. It's still doin' some snowin', so there's already more snow on the balcony railing than when I took my photo.

I Like Mood Rings A Lot

Hi, um, it's me, Klu.

I didn't write a blog for a while cuz I had a busy week. I had to do some gettin' ready for Christmas. And I went with my Big Mummy to work one day. But now I want to write about mood rings on my blog (Get A Klu).

My Big Mummy and Uncle Kerms have mood rings. Mood rings are really 'citin' cuz they change colors 'pendin' on your mood. Here's a picture of Uncle Kerms's hand with his mood ring on. It's sort of in between relaxed and peaceful (that's what green means) and cheerful and jubilant (that's what blue means). I didn't know what 'jubilant' meant till now. It means really cheerful and happy and 'cited, I think.

Big Mummy let me wear her mood ring for a while. Here's a picture of me wearing my Big Mummy's mood ring. When I first put it on, it said it was anxious (that's what brown means). I wasn't anxious. I think the ring was anxious cuz it got cold when Big Mummy took it off.

After I wore it for a while, it said I was relaxed and peaceful (that's what green means). Here's a picture of the ring after it turned green.

I want a mood ring for Christmas, and a phone so I can text a girl-bear when I meet one that I like. Uncle Kerms is giving me a dollar to buy gummy worms. I like presents a lot.

I gotta go cuz I'm over at Uncle Kerms's house, and I gotta do some playin' with Speedy. I miss Speedy somethin' fierce when we go home, so I gotta play lots with him right now.

Klu the Bear

Doin' Some Thankin'

Hi, it's me again, Klu the Bear.

Um, it's Saturday night and we're 'bout to eat pizza and watch a movie, but I asked Uncle Kerms if I could quick use his 'puter to write my blog cuz I 'ploaded some photos the other day. Then I forgot 'bout my blog for a few days. But I just 'membered it now.

Me and Speedy and Uncle Kerms and Big Mummy went to Estes Park for Thanksgiving. I like Thanksgiving cuz you get to do some thankin'. I'm thankful for Speedy and Uncle Kerms and Big Mummy and Auntie E and Wilbs and Darla and Roma and Blu and Bianca and Uncle Gumbles and um, lots of other things, like chocolate and stuff.

Anyway, um, me and Speedy went on a hike with Big Mummy and Uncle Kerms. We saw two big boy elks. That was 'citin'. Then we saw mountain lion tracks everywhere in the snow. Tracks are footprints. The mountain lion footprints were really big. That made me feel funny in my tummy. I don't want to get eaten by a mountain lion. But we never saw the mountain lion, just the tracks.

When we got back to the car, Speedy and I climbed up a fence while Big Mummy and Uncle Kerms were puttin' their packs in the car. Here's a picture of us climbin' up on the fence.

When we got home, me and Speedy were really tired and kinda cold, so we got in Big Mummy's hat and took a nap. Here's a picture of us takin' a nap in Big Mummy's hat.

Uncle Kerms just took the pizza out of the oven so I gotta go now. Uncle Kerms is the best uncle ever. I love him a lot.

Doin' Some Playin' In The Leaves

Hi, it's me, Klu the Bear,

I didn't write a post for a few days cuz it was Thanksgiving, and I had to do some thankin' and some eatin' and stuff. But I did a photo shoot with Speedy, cuz he went on our Thanksgiving bacation with us. But first I have to write my last post 'bout our trip to St. Louis.

After we got done doin' some swingin' and some climbin', we went to another house where there were a lot of woods to play in. A whale came along with us, but he didn't say very much. It's hard to get to know a whale when he doesn't say very much. Ewey came too, and did some more playin' with us.

First we made a fort out of some logs and big pieces of stone. The big pieces of stone were so big that we had to have the grownups move them for us. Here's a picture of me and Speedy and Ewey and the whale in our fort, after the grownups moved the big pieces of stone for us.

But the best part of doin' some playin' in the woods was all the leaves. We made a big pile of leaves beside our fort, and we jumped in them. I didn't want Ewey to jump in the leaves cuz her wool was so pretty, but she said it was okay. (My cousin Bianca is a lambie too, but her wool is a lot dirtier cuz she's had so many 'ventures. I miss Bianca something fierce.) Here's a picture of me and Speedy and Ewey doin' some jumpin' in the leaves.

We keep havin' so many 'ventures I can't keep track of them all. In my next post, I'll tell you 'bout our Thanksgiving 'venture. But it was just a little 'venture, not a bacation where you ride on a airplane.

Love,
Klu the Bear

PS. I haven't written any ph'losophy for a while, or any stuff that Richard Scarry would like. Maybe I'll do that for my next post.

Doin' Some Climbin' In A Tree (And 'Bout How Speedy's A Really Good Climber)

Hi, it's me, Klu the Bear.

After we did some swingin' on the swings, then we decided to do some climbin' in the tree. Me and Speedy and Ewey all climbed up to the first fork in the tree trunk together. Here's a picture of me and Ewey at the first fork in the tree trunk. (Ewey's a really pretty lamb, and her wool was really clean. My fur was really dirty. That's cuz I rolled in the dust at the bottom of the slide.)

After we took the picture of us at the first fork in the tree trunk, we realized that Speedy had disappeared. That's cuz he just kept doin' some climbin'. I made a 'scovery on this bacation: Speedy's a really good climber. Here's a picture of him when we 'scovered he'd just kept doin' some climbin'.

Speedy just kept climbin' and climbin', till he climbed higher than Uncle Kerms. (You can see Uncle Kerms's arm in the photo, but he's bein' 'nonymous, cuz he's a grownup.)

I wanted to climb that high too, so I asked Luke to make an elevator out of his hood. (Luke is Natalie's brother. I liked playin' with Luke a lot. I wish I had more little boys to play with.) Here's a picture of Luke makin' an elevator out of his hood and takin' me to the top of the tree.

When we got up as high as Speedy, I climbed out of the elevator that Luke made out of his hood, and hung onto the branch with Speedy. Here's a picture of me and Speedy on a branch at the top of the tree.

That's all I can think of right now 'bout climbin' in the tree. Tomorrow I'm gonna tell you 'bout playin' in the pile of leaves.

Love,
Klu the Bear

PS. I miss Roma somethin' fierce tonight. I hope she wants to write a post on my blog soon. I sent her an invitation to be a poster on my blog, but she didn't answer yet.

Doin' some swingin'

Hi, um, it's me, Klu the Bear again.

I like bein' a Bloggin' Bear again. When I wasn't a Bloggin' Bear, I missed it lots. Bloggin' makes me happy cuz I can tell my fans 'bout all my 'ventures.

After me and Speedy got done doin' some slidin' with Ewey and Natalie, (Ewey is a lamb who looks like Bianca, only she's bigger, and Natalie is a little girl who kinda reminds me of Hannah G, only she's littler), we decided to do some swingin'. Here's a picture of all of us doin' some swingin'.

Speedy was really good at doin' some swingin'. I didn't know turtles could balance so good. Turtles are kinda surprisin'. Here's a photo of Speedy doin' some swingin'. He had to kick his little back legs really hard to make himself go. It was the cutest thing I ever saw.

Ewey and Speedy got to swing in the rings, but I did my swingin' on a bar. Here's a picture of me swingin' on the bar.

After a while, the bar started to hurt my tummy. So I decided to do some climbin'. Here's a picture of me doin' some climbin' up the chain of my swing.

I gotta go do some playin' now, but I'll write more tomorrow 'bout climbin' in the tree. Now that I think 'bout it, our bacation was almost a bacation of a lifetime cuz we got to do some climbin' and stuff. Plus we got to meet Uncle Kerms's family. Uncle Kerms (rhymes with worms) was a little boy once. Huh. Huh. That makes me laugh.

Love,
Klu the Bear

Doin' Some Visitin'

Hi, it's me, um, Klu the Bear.

I just went on another bacation. It wasn't really a bacation of a lifetime, like my other bacations. On bacations of a lifetime, you usually do some sailin' or some rock-climbin' or some bikin' or some campin' or something. This was more of a visitin' bacation, cuz we went to visit Uncle Kerms's family. Speedy came too. He was really 'cited, cuz he never went on a bacation before. (He didn't know it wasn't really a bacation of a lifetime. He just thought it was a 'citin' bacation.)

On the second day of our bacation, the citin'-est thing ever happened: we met Ewey. Ewey is a lamb who looks a lot like Bianca, 'cept she's bigger. (I miss Bianca something fierce, now that she lives with Auntie E and Uncle Gumbles in Wyoming.)

Here's a picture of me and Ewey at the top of their slide in their back yard. I wish we had a slide in our back yard. We can do some good slidin' on Uncle Kerms's railing, but you can go faster on a real slide. Oh, I forgot to tell you 'bout Ewey's Big Mummy. Ewey has a Big Mummy named Natalie. Natalie is almost the same age as my friend Hannah G. You can see Natalie's knee in the photo. (I miss Hannah G something fierce. I need to write her an email.)

At the bottom of the slide, there was the best patch of dust I ever saw. Bears like dust, you know. I kinda rolled around in the dust cuz I liked it so much. Ewey wanted to roll around in it too, but I wouldn't let her cuz her wool was so pretty. (Lambs have wool, not fur, you know.) Here's a picture of me after I rolled around in the dust.

While me and Ewey were doin' some slidin', we didn't notice what Speedy was doin'. Turtles are really quiet sometimes. While we were doin' some slidin', Speedy was doin' some climbin'. Speedy is really good at doin' some climbin', but we just found that out. We didn't know turtles were good at doin' some climbin'. While me and Ewey were doin' some slidin', Speedy climbed all the way to the top of the jungle gym. Here's a picture of Speedy wavin' to us from the top of the jungle gym. Isn't he the best turtle you ever saw?

I gotta go to bed now, so I'll write another post tomorrow about doin' some swingin' on the swings.

I'm A Real Dirty and Tired Bear, Cuz Of My 'Ventures

Um, hi, it's me, Klu the Bear. I'm not gonna write a long post cuz I just got back from my 'venture in St Louis. That's where Uncle Kerms grew up, and we just went to meet his family. I think they liked me a lot, 'specially Natalie and Luke. Speedy went on our 'venture too, and my Big Mummy. I took lots of photos of our 'venture, but I'm too tired now to download them. And I really need a bath, cuz I'm kind of a different color of brown now. More like dirt than fur. I'll write a post 'bout my 'ventures tomorrow.

Love,
Klu the Tired Bear (I'm kinda dirty too.)

I'm Gonna Do Some More Bloggin'

Hi, um, it's me, Klu.

Um, I've been away so long I don't know if I 'member how to do some bloggin'. I didn't mean to be away so long. I just got kinda 'stracted, cuz there were so many 'citing things goin' on. But now I'm gonna do some more bloggin' again, and I asked Roma and Blu to help me write some posts. And maybe Wilbs is gonna write some posts too. Cuz sometimes I can't think of a post.

But tonight I can think of a post. It's about Auntie E's wedding. Auntie E got married to Uncle Gumbles! (Now Blu and Roma and Bianca can call him Papa Gumbles, but he's still Uncle Gumbles to me.) I got to be the Best Bear at the wedding! That was the 'citin'-est thing ever! Here's a picture of me and my Big Mummy and Auntie E, with me bein' the Best Bear.

Now that I'm doin' some bloggin' again, I'll tell you all 'bout Speedy, cuz he's the best turtle I ever met. I love him so much. And I'll tell you 'bout all our 'ventures. We're gonna have a 'venture tomorrow, cuz we're going to St. Louis to meet Uncle Kerms's family. I don't know if I'm gonna do much appearin' cuz I don't know if they'll know that I'm a real bear or not. I'll tell you 'bout it when we get back.

Love,
Klu the Bloggin' Bear

PS. I'm sorry I let my fans down by not bloggin' for so long. 'Specially Shelley Anne, cuz she wrote me a comment that she was sad cuz her Big Mummy used to read my blog to her.

The 'Citin'-est Thing Ever: We 'Dopted Speedy!

Hi, um, do you 'member me? It's me, Klu the Bloggin' Bear, 'cept I kinda stopped bloggin' for a while. That was cuz it was summer, and I had too much playin' to do. Then my Big Mummy got a new job, and I'm not 'llowed to use the 'puter while she's gone, so I didn't have as much time to write my posts. But now I got lots of 'citin' things to write about.

The first thing is Uncle Kerms (rhymes with worms, huh, huh) 'dopted Speedy the Turtle. My and my Big Mummy went to lots of 'doption places before we met Speedy, cuz we had to find just the right turtle for Uncle Kerms to 'dopt. We brought Speedy to our house for a few days, so he could get used to bein' 'dopted. Then we told Uncle Kerms we had a s'prise for him. Here's a picture of us waitin' in the window for Uncle Kerms. You can tell which one is Speedy cuz he's the green turtle.

Then we all went back to Uncle Kerms's house to help him take care of Speedy. Speedy can't talk yet, but we made a 'scovery that he really likes to eat spinach. Uncle Kerms gave him some spinach, and he ate it really fast. Here's a picture when Speedy is almost done eatin' the spinach really fast.

Then we taught Speedy how to do some slidin' on Uncle Kerms' stairs. Here's a picture of Speedy gettin' ready to do some slidin' and Wilbs gettin' ready to do some pushin'. (It's more fun to slide if one of the other kids does some pushin' cuz it makes you go faster.)

Darla waited at the bottom, in case Speedy was scared. Here's a picture of Darla waitin' at the bottom. (I don't think Speedy was scared.)

Wilbs really like to do some pushin'. Here's a picture of her after she pushed Speedy.

Speedy did some good slidin' and flew off and landed on his side. Here's a picture of him on his side. It was some pretty good slidin' for his first time.

I thought turtles could get stuck if they landed on their side, but Speedy just rolled over. Here's a picture of him just rollin' over.

I love Speedy a lot. He's the best turtle I ever saw. I miss him something fierce on the days he stays at Uncle Kerms's house. But then I get so excited when we can see him again. We're gonna see him tonight.

Doin' Some Slidin' on Uncle Kermit's Stairs

Hi, it's me, Klu.

We kids like Uncle Kermit a lot, but we used to think his house was kinda boring, cuz he didn't have many toys. But then we made a 'scovery. Actually, Darla made the 'scovery. The railing of Uncle Kermit's stairs makes the best slide ever. Darla didn't mean to slide down it the first time. She was just doin' some waddlin' on the flat part of the railing, but she got too close to the slanted part. She slid down the slanted part sayin' 'mwack, mwack, MWACK, MWACK, MWACK, MWACK.' She landed on the carpet on her back, and she just kept sayin' 'mwack, mwack.' It looked like so much fun that me and Wilbs decided to try it too. Here's a picture of my first time. I was feelin' a little scared.

On my second try, I decided to push with my paws. Pushin' with my paws made me go faster. Here's a picture of me pushin' with my paws.

Then I decided to go down headfirst on my back. That was the 'citin'-est way ever. It made my stomach do a flip-flop when I flew off the end of the railing. Here's a picture of me shootin' down headfirst on my back.

Big Mummy thought I looked so cute that she made a closeup of me shootin' down headfirst on my back. Here's the closeup of me shootin' down headfirst on my back.

Oh, I forgot. Here's a photo of Darla at the bottom, after she got done doin' some slidin'. She just lay there saying, 'mwack, mwack, MWACK.' Isn't she the cutest baby duck ever?

We don't think Uncle Kermit's house is so boring anymore.

I'm kinda 'nnoyed with my Big Mummy

Hi, it's me, Klu the Bear. I wrote an email this mornin' to Uncle Kermit and my Auntie E. They both liked it lots, and Uncle Kermit thought it was 'musing, so I decided to make it the post on my blog. Here's my email that I wrote this mornin' to Uncle Kermit and my Auntie E:

Um hi, it's me, Klu.

I'm kinda 'nnoyed with my Big Mummy. Last night in the middle of the night, she grabbed me around my tummy and put me on the floor under the bed on the side by the wall. She scared me cuz I was doin' some sleepin', and she was doin' some sleepin' too, while she did it. I pounded on her hand with my paw, but she didn't wake up. I just lay there on the floor where she put me, cuz I was kinda confused and not really awake. Then I started to cry. Then all the sudden, her hand came back down and she grabbed me around my tummy again and picked me back up and put me under her chin where I always sleep. I didn't 'zactly know what had happened.

I asked her this mornin', and she did some 'pologizin'. She said she was dreamin' that her new boss came in our bedroom and saw me sleepin' under her chin where I always sleep. Big Mummy got 'barrassed to have her boss see me there, so she hid me under the bed. Then she woke up and realized it was a dream, so she picked me up again.

She thought it was funny, but I didn't think it was very funny. It kinda scared me. Big Mummy is weird when she thinks she's awake but she's asleep.

Love,
Klu the Bear

That's the end of the email I wrote this morning to Uncle Kermit and my Auntie E. When I decided to make it the post for my blog, I asked Big Mummy if we could do a 'nactment. A 'nactment is when you do the same thing that happened before, 'cept it's just doin' some actin'. They do 'nactments all the time on the news when they're tellin' 'bout a robber, and they want to show how he snuck into the bank. It's not the real robber in the 'nactment; it's just an actor. In the 'nactment that Big Mummy and I did, I acted the part of Klu the Bear and Big Mummy acted the part of her hand. But we weren't really sleepin'. Here's a photo of our 'nactment.

That's all.

I'm Done With My Worryin'

Hi, it's me, Klu.

I can only write a quick post today cuz my Big Mummy is goin' off to a new job and I'm not 'llowed to use the 'puter when she's not here. But I just wanted to tell you that everyone's done bein' sick now, so I can stop doin' some worryin' and get back to my playin'. ('Cept I think Uncle Kermit's back probably still hurts.) I'll write a longer post later 'bout the dumbest thing Big Mummy's done in a long time. And we're gonna have a surprise for Uncle Kermit, but we haven't found it yet. And I can't tell you 'bout it, cuz he reads my blog.

It's Hard To Be A Bloggin' Bear When You're Doin' Some Worryin'

Hi, it's me, Klu the Worryin' Bear.

I haven't written any posts for a while cuz I've had a lot of worryin' to do. And worryin' takes a lot of time. You can't write your blog and do some worryin' at the same time very well.

My Big Mummy has been sick for a few days. She doesn't get sick very often, so I was kinda scared. And bored, too, cuz she was just sleepin' a lot and runnin' to the bathroom. Maybe I shouldn't write that on my blog, 'bout her runnin' to the bathroom, but it's the truth.

And Wilbs was sick, too. I never saw a sick pig before. She was the crankiest pig I ever saw. She didn't want to eat nuthin' and she didn't want to play and she didn't want me to tell her a story.

Uncle Kermit came over yesterday to eat dinner with us, but Big Mummy was so sick that he had to cook his own dinner. I thought that was funny, 'cept I was sorry Big Mummy was so sick. Least she got everything ready for him to cook before he came. But he didn't feel good either, cuz his back hurt.

And I talked to Auntie E, and I had to do some worryin' 'bout her too, cuz her life is crazy. She's movin' again, and she's real tired, and she said a bad word on the phone. (I can't tell you what it is, cuz I'm not 'llowed to write bad words on my blog. That's almost like sayin' them, and I'm not 'llowed to say them. 'Cept sometimes I do when I get mad.)

Then I started worryin' 'bout my blog. Whenever I don't write my blog for a while, I start worryin' that my fans are all gonna go away. And then I think I better write a really good post, to make up for not writin' my blog for a while. But then I start worryin' that I can't think of a really good post, and it's hard to write a really good post when you're doin' some worryin'. But Auntie E told me on the phone that I just needed to write something, even if it wasn't a really good post. So that's why I'm tellin' you 'bout doin' some worryin'.

I'm A Unlucky Bear Today

Hi, it's me, Klu, the Unlucky Bear.

Me and Bruno have been beggin' and beggin' my Big Mummy to take us to the playground. Bruno likes to go down the tornado slide, and I like to swing as high as I can. And I wanted to do a photo shoot for my blog (Get A Klu) so that you could see our playground.

Big Mummy finally said yes just now, so we walked up to the playground. But when we got there, there were tons of big kids everywhere. They were usin' all the swings and doin' some pushin' on the slide and everything. Me and Bruno (and Wilbs came too) didn't feel like doin' any playin' with all them big kids around. Sometimes big kids don't know we're real, so they do mean stuff to us.

I feel like a Cranky Bear now.

That's all.
Klu

(I didn't feel like signing my post 'love,' cuz I'm a Cranky Bear right now. I wanted to swing on the swings as high as I could.)

Waitin' For Uncle Kermit

Hi, it's me, Klu. Happy 4th of July. Huh. Huh. I'm a Swedish-Scottish-'Merican bear, so it's only the 'Merican part of me that's wishin' you a happy 4th of July.

Um, this is just a really quick post, cuz we're gonna go soon for a barbecue and then the fireworks. I just wanted to show you that picture at the top of this post. It's a picture of us kids waitin' for Uncle Kermit to come for dinner. We've got the best window I ever saw, and we can do lots of watchin' from our window. When we moved here, we could even see the mountain where we do some rock-climbin', but it's all covered up now cuz of the leaves. So we just watch other stuff, like the cars goin' by. 'Cept when we're waitin' for Uncle Kermit. Then we watch for his car. It's got lots of stickers on it. That's how we know it's his car.

Me and Blu in a Tree

Hi, it's me, Klu.

I was gettin' really frustrated on our bacation, cuz every time I wanted to spend quality time with Blu, all the other kids wanted to play too. But we're both bears, you know, and sometimes we just like to talk 'bout bear stuff.

But finally we got a chance to climb a tree and talk 'bout bear stuff. (Tame bear stuff. We're not wild bears.) The picture of me and Blu sittin' in a tree and talkin' 'bout bear stuff is at the top of my post today. I just did that for v'riety.

Um, I was gonna tell you 'bout bein' chased by a grouse. On the day that we saw the wild bear (my Big Mummy was scared, but me and Uncle Kermit weren't) we also got chased by a grouse. A grouse is a kind of bird 'bout the size of a chicken. I thought it should have been called a grouch, cuz it was the grouchiest bird I ever met. It hopped out onto the trail right in front of me and Big Mummy, so we all stopped and talked to it. It was close enough it could have pecked Big Mummy's ankles. (She didn't really like that idea, but she wasn't scared yet). We all looked at it for a while, then we went around it to go down the trail. All the sudden, it started chasin' us with its beak open, makin' a weird noise. Big Mummy and Uncle Kermit started runnin' down the trail. They were laughin' a lot, but in a kinda scared way. The bird just kept chasin' us. We ran some more and the bird chased some more. It chased us a long ways down the trail. I had a really good view of it chasin' us cuz I was ridin' on the back of Big Mummy's pack. I didn't like it chasin' us cuz its beak was big and pointy. Finally it stopped chasin' us and went back to its house. If I was actin' that grouchy, Big Mummy would probably make me take a time out.

We saw the grouse just before we saw the bear. When we were back at the car, Uncle Kermit said the funny thing was that he was more scared of the bird than the bear. Maybe that's cuz he's used to me, even though I'm not a wild bear.

Klu

A Post 'Bout Seein' The Wild Bear

Hi, it's me, Klu the Bacationin' Bear.

Huh. Huh. I've been on so many bacations lately that I called myself the Bacationin' Bear. Huh. That's funny.

Um, this is a post about seein' the wild bear in Grand Teton National Park. First me and Uncle Kermit and my Big Mummy drove to a trailhead. Here's a picture of me sittin' on the top of Uncle Kermit's car, doin' some admirin' cuz the view was so beautiful, while they put their hikin' boots on.

I'm just a little bear, and my legs aren't as long as Big Mummy's, so I can't walk as fast. So she lets me ride on the back of her pack when we go hikin'. When we stop somewhere, I like to get down and do some 'splorin'. Here's a picture of me ridin' on the back of Big Mummy's pack.

We hiked up to some lakes. Here's a picture of one of the lakes. It's a scenery picture.

When we were hikin' back down, some men comin' up the trail told us there was a bear just a little ways down the trail. Huh. Huh. They didn't see me on the back of Big Mummy's pack. And anyway, they meant a wild bear, not a tame bear like me. I felt a little squiggly in my tummy, cuz I've never met a wild bear before. Big Mummy and Uncle Kermit talked real loud as we went down the trail, cuz we didn't want to make the wild bear jump. Then Uncle Kermit saw the wild bear. It wasn't the mama grizzly with her cubs that Blu told us 'bout in the newspaper. It was a black bear. It was goin' 'bout its business right by the trail. Uncle Kermit was the man, so he went first. He wasn't scared, cuz the bear was just goin' 'bout its business. But my Big Mummy was scared. She was kinda in a hurry, and she didn't want to stay and look at the wild bear too long. But it never really paid any attention to us. It just kept goin' 'bout its business.

It was the 'citing-est thing ever.

Oh, I forgot to tell about bein' chased by a grouse. I gotta go play now, but I'll tell 'bout that in my next post. It happened on the same hike.

Here's The Next Post 'Bout Our New Bacation

Hi, it's me, Klu.

When we woke up in the morning (after Blu did some snorin' all night) we 'scovered that Auntie E and the kids live in the most beautiful place in the whole world. It's funny when you drive to a place at night and you can't see it. When you open your eyes in the morning, you make lots of 'scoveries. Our first 'scovery was that Jackson is the most beautiful place in the whole world ('cept for some places in Scotland and some other places in Washington and where we live in Colorado and stuff). Auntie E and the kids live right at the bottom of a ski mountain. Blu took me outside even before we ate breakfast (bears like breakfast, you know, but we couldn't wait) and showed me the ski mountain. Here's a photo of us lookin' at the ski mountain. I can't wait to go back in the winter to do some skiin'. You can tell that I'm Klu and he's Blu cuz his head is bigger than mine. He's still got more stuffin' than me.

We were bein' real quiet when we went outside, but Roma must have heard us, cuz she came out to look at the ski mountain too. I love Roma a lot, but I felt kinda squiggly inside when she came out, cuz me and Blu were talkin' 'bout some bear stuff, and we had to be polite and talk 'bout other stuff so Roma wouldn't feel left out. Here's a picture of us still lookin' at the ski mountain. A few days later, we hiked almost to the top. It was funny to be on a ski mountain when there wasn't any snow.

While we were sittin' there talkin' 'bout other stuff so Roma wouldn't feel left out, all the other kids woke up and came out too. Wilbs woke up cuz she was hungry. Pigs are pretty much always hungry, you know. Darla woke up cuz she wanted to look for another nest. I don't know why Bianca woke up. Here's a picture of all of us kids lookin' at the ski mountain.

Big Mummy came out just then and saw us all sittin' in the chair and said she needed to take a picture of us. So here's a picture of all us kids.

After we got done lookin' at the ski mountain, we went inside and Auntie E made us scrambled eggs. Um, maybe I need to go ask my Big Mummy if she'll make me scrambled eggs for lunch. My tummy is doin' some growlin'. Huh. Huh. That's funny. Sometimes bears growl with their voice cuz they're mad, and other times they growl with their tummy cuz they're hungry. Right now I'm just hungry.

Klu

Our New Bacation in Jackson, Wyoming

Hi, um, it's me Klu the Bear. (But I'm just a little, tame bear.)

We just got back from our new bacation to go visit Auntie E and Mr. Gumbles in Jackson, Wyoming. 'Cept Auntie E left me a comment and said I should call him Uncle Gumbles now. Huh. Huh. That's cuz they're gonna get married sometime soon. I like Uncle Gumbles a lot, cuz he's like Willy Wonka. He makes chocolate. We got to take a tour of his chocolate factory. Bears like chocolate a lot, you know. There were big vats of melted chocolate, and Uncle Gumbles took the lids off so we could see inside. I wanted to put my paw in, just to taste it, but Uncle Gumbles said I might fall in like Augustus Gloop, and that would be dangerous. (Big Mummy held onto Wilbs real tight to keep her from doin' any 'vestigatin.') I wasn't 'llowed to take any photos inside the chocolate factory cuz it's top secret.

But I'm tellin' 'bout our bacation all backwards. That's cuz I got so 'cited 'bout the Huckleberry Mountain Chocolates. You can buy them on Uncle Gumbles's website, 'specially if you are a businessbear and run a gift shop. I like the popcorn and the huckleberry bark the best.

Anyway, I looked out the front window of the car the whole way to Jackson cuz I was so 'cited to see Auntie E and the kids. I missed them something fierce. It was really late at night when we got there, but we got to stay up for a long time cuz we hadn't seen the kids since they moved away from Denver. Blu showed me the newspaper from Grand Teton National Park, and told me all 'bout the mama grizzly bear and her three cubs that everyone's been seein'. I was so 'cited to see Blu. I gave him a big bear hug and 'bout squeezed all his stuffin' out. (He's got more stuffin' than me. That's why his head is bigger than mine.) Here's a picture of Blu showin' me the newspaper with the photo of the mama grizzly bear.

Right when Blu was showin' me the newspaper with the picture of the mama grizzly bear, all the other kids came over to see too. I didn't like that very much. I wanted to spend some quality time with Blu, but all the other kids wanted to see the newspaper too. Here's a picture of all the kids lookin' at the newspaper. 'Cept Darla. She just made a nest in the blanket.

Then big Mummy said it was bedtime, and we'd get to see lots of stuff in the morning. I was so 'cited I couldn't go to sleep for forever. And Blu was doin' some snorin'. I forgot that Blu always does some snorin'. It kept me awake, 'cept I was so happy to see him that I couldn't be mad at him for snorin'. Some bears snore, you know. But not me. 'Cept when I have a cold. I think everybody snores when they have a cold.

The Last Post 'Bout Our Other Bacation Cuz Now I Gotta Write 'Bout Our New Bacation

Um, hi, it's me, Klu. I'm kinda behind on my posts cuz I've been havin' so many bacations. So this is gonna be the last picture from our bacation on the David B, and then I'll start writing 'bout our new bacation (we saw a bear).

Um, Wilbs was doin' so much 'vestigatin' on the David B that Big Mummy was scared she might fall overboard. It's really bad to fall overboard when you're on a boat. You could die. So Big Mummy had to hang onto Wilbs all the time. Here's a picture of Wilbs doin' some sittin' on Big Mummy's lap and lookin' at the scenery. You can see how Big Mummy has Wilbs's legs clamped between her knees. That was so she didn't go overboard.

Now I gotta go download my photos from our new bacation. I didn't get any photos of the wild bear, cuz we were kinda scared. But I took lots of photos of me and Blu (we're bears).

Wilbs Doin' Some 'Vestigatin'

Hi, it's me, Klu the Sailor Bear for today. I'm gonna be the Hikin' and Campin' and 'Splorin' Bear in a few days, when we go visit Auntie E and Mr. Gumbles and all the kids. But I gotta tell you 'bout the rest of our bacation on the David B.

There's lots of good food on the David B. That's cuz Auntie Ch is the best cook ever. She makes croissants from scratch (I liked the ones with chocolate inside) and she makes butter from scratch and lots of other stuff. My Big Mummy ate so much her belly got bigger, and Uncle Kermit called her his little sweet potato. (She didn't like that very much.) (Uncle Kermit's belly got bigger too. So did mine. And Wilbs'.) Wilbs did lots of 'vestigatin' 'bout the food cuz she's a pig and pigs are good eaters, you know. Here's a photo of Wilbs 'vestigatin' some blueberry muffins one morning. She got in trouble for 'vestigatin' cuz she got into the basket to do her 'vestigatin'. That meant she was touchin' everyone else's muffins too. It's not polite to touch other people's food, unless you're related to them.

More 'Bout The David B

Hi, it's me, Klu the Sailor,

'Cept I gotta tell you real quick 'bout bein' a sailor bear, cuz me and Uncle Kermit are gonna go on another bacation. It's only a quick bacation to go see Auntie E and the other kids. But I'm 'cited cuz I miss them somethin' fierce. So I gotta finish tellin' 'bout our bacation on the David B. But now that we FINALLY have the internet at our house, I can do my blog more.

Me and Wilbs did a lot of lookin' out the window when we were on the David B. Here's a picture of us lookin' out the window. You can see some islands and stuff. I like Washington a lot. I like lookin' at some islands.

We wanted Darla to do some lookin' out the window with us, but all she did was some fallin'. Baby ducks aren't very good at sittin' on window ledges. They are better at sittin' in nests, cuz that's where they come from. Here's a picture of Darla doin' some fallin' onto the settee. Every time she fell, she kicked her legs in the air and said 'mwack', but it sounded like she was laughin'. I think baby ducks like doin' some fallin'.

I gotta go do my packin' now. We're gonna leave to visit Auntie E on Thursday afternoon. It takes lots of hours to drive there, but that's okay cuz we like ridin' in the car. And I can't wait to see Roma and Blu and Bianca. I miss them somethin' fierce. Auntie E got a digital camera yesterday, so now she can take pictures of the kids and send them to us.

Love,
Klu the Bacation Bear
